When a person dies, his or her property must be dealt with. Dawsons has specialised staff who are experienced in carrying out the important tasks involved in administering an estate.

If there is no Will 

If the deceased did not have a current will then an Administrator will be appointed by the Court to ensure that property of the deceased is dealt with according to the law.

We can provide the following services:

• Obtaining a grant of probate or letters of administration.
• Obtaining details of all assets and liabilities of the estate.
• Taking reasonable steps to protect and preserve the assets.
• Selling or disposing of assets as required.
• Paying debts, fees and taxes.
• Keeping accounts and records.
• Distributing the assets of the estate.
